"Kuzi - Black" Retractable Ballpoint By: Karim Rashid
Karim Rashid's design for this pen is roughly based on an iconic wooden sculpture by Romanian born, modernist artist Constantin Brancusi. It takes its name, "Kuzi", from the last 4 letters of the sculptors' last name. To emphasize this legacy, Mr. Rashid chose colored celluloid; a material that has been used in pen making for many decades to express the pen's shape, yet the pen looks and feels extremely modern. The pen is presented in a clear acrylic tube with Rashid's signature screen printed.
ACME Studio writing instruments are well designed with a comfortable weight and shape. Pens are constructed using metal barrels with hand applied color images - the finest lacquers are used. This is a designers' writing instrument for a designer and/or an enthusiast with a keen sense of style.
